Smile because it happened
Hello!
There’s a lot swirling around in my life this week, with preschool ending and camp beginning and my toddler about to leave home for the first time since March 2020. I took several days to relax at the Jersey Shore with our family for Father’s Day, prepare the kids for camp, and just unplug from work (and anything that required a charger, really). It’s been very restful – more than I could have imagined. But one consequence of that is not having a long read for you today.
So, for all the new subscribers, I thought I’d use this week’s newsletter to recap some pivotal questions we answered in the first quarter of Our Tiny Rebellions:
Can you appreciate a memory without wanting to relive it? Sure you can.
Can you trade the dull hue of conformity for a more colorful life? You can do that, too.
Can you love your family but want to be left the hell alone? Yup.
Can you just have a hobby that you don’t need to monetize? Why yes.
Can you celebrate silly things, because it’s been hell and we all deserve it? Hell yeah.
Thank you all for taking this trip down memory lane with me. I hope this first week of summer blesses you with all the Vitamin D, sandy shores, and spiked seltzers you desire. You’ll see some fun things in the weeks to come — I can’t wait to share them with you.
It’s a perfect time to share Our Tiny Rebellions with a friend. Please do!
