It's so hard to stand on the sidelines of our kids' lives waiting to see what will tear them down. But it's also so exciting to see them respond in ways that surprise and delight us. Love this story, Heather!
I read somewhere (Cup of Jo? Dinner a Love Story?) about the importance of making home a safe place in order to make it easier for kids to weather the disappointments of childhood. I feel like at least that's something I can control!
I love this! Sounds like your daughter is building a lot of maturity for an elementary school student. (This is coming from a K-5 teacher, I see a lot of them lol!) :)

It’s SO hard to stand on the sidelines, but in so many cases it’s the right thing to do!! Thanks, L!

Thanks!! She’s VERY mature, and I think that might add to the friction when she tests her own limits :)
